About Us

Melodies Monthly is a new service from My-Melodies Publishing that is centered around giving teachers like you a voice in what your studio needs!

If our goal is to help teachers, why not go straight to the source?

We wanted teachers to be part of the creative process and to tell us exactly what their studio needs. Instead of waiting months for a new publication, our song request form takes 60 seconds to fill out and opens a direct line of communication between teachers and composers.

After the votes are tallied, our team gets busy to give you the music you need in a few short weeks!

Bridging the gap between what students want and what teachers need is our specialty!

We consider ourselves piano teachers first and foremost. Having that experience working with students of all different ages and skill levels everyday single day allows us to see and hear the needs of our students.

We saw that our students wanted more modern, more fun sounding pieces to play for their family and friends while also being approachable for younger players. That’s a tall order and is very difficult to find. So we started writing the pieces ourselves and making these pieces custom-tailored around our students needs and interests first.

Since our first publications in 2020 with Five-Finger Jazz! Book 1 and 2, we’ve grown to have eight books in our catalogue and have brought another composer to our team, Kai Ono.

Slowly, but surely teachers are hearing about our books from national publications like AMT Magazine, Piano Inspires Magazine, curriculum selections like the 2024-2028 NFMC Bulletin, Conservatory Canada’s Piano Repertoire Series, and others.

The most important mark of success for us is that students are connecting with our books and getting excited about music!
